With a focus on the treatment of twentieth century and contemporary African paintings, and many years of experience working with Old Masters and Modern Masters, I assure my clients a high level of skill in the restoration and conservation of easel paintings. I also carry out technical studies through my projects, for example at the South African National Gallery, and I consult with regard to preventive conservation and collection care.
Guided by the principles of minimal intervention and respect of the artist's intentions, each conservation treatment is carefully considered. Treatments are then carried out with the utmost sensitivity and highest level of skill. The outcome is a restoration that accepts patina and the signs of ageing yet allows the integrity of the artwork to resonate.
